Its friars aimed to provide spiritual assistance to the condemned and give them burial, either in the portico of their convent church or under the arcades that existed on the old Calle de la C\u00e1rcel. The convent was demolished in the mid-20th century, with only a portal remaining, featuring a semicircular arch flanked by columns topped by a frieze and a niche.
