Ortega's Head Groom Cover
Description
Ranked as a 2nd degree heritage site in the PEPCH. From the 16th century. Don Cristóbal Ortega, Councilman of Úbeda and Stable Master of King Felipe II, had his residence in this place, of which only the facade remains. It is composed of the lower section where the large entrance arch is located, and above this, the relief of the family coat of arms supported by wild men and framed by a laurel wreath. The significance of this facade lies precisely in the appearance of these characters, which can also be found in the Casa de los Salvajes or the Casa de las Torres and could allude to the antiquity of the family lineage.
