House of the Savages

House of the Savages

Úbeda , Jaén Civil building

Description

Ranked 4th grade by the PEPCH. 16th century. Residence of Don Francisco de Vago, butler and administrator in the Úbeda of Bishop Alonso Suárez de la Fuente del Sauce. The name it receives is due to the two wild figures that appear on the facade of the house, holding the family coat of arms with laurels. Like the rest of the examples that can be found in the city (such as on the facade of the house of the Caballerizo Ortega), it is believed that they represent the antiquity of the lineage of these families.
