Octagonal Tower
Description
Ranked 1st degree in the PEPCH. Dating back to the 15th century. Defensive architecture. It is the only albarrana tower in the walled enclosure. It is solid at its base, and above it houses a room covered with a dome, also with eight sides. A plant typical of the art of the last Muslim period in Andalusia. It retains its original machicolations although it was remodeled in the 15th century. Later, in the 20th century, the immediate stretch of wall was reconstructed, also opening the old gate towards Ventanas street.
