Palacio de los Carvajales
Description
Ranked as a 2nd degree heritage site in the PEPCH. Late 15th century. Gothic-Mudejar tradition. This is a family residence located in the square of the same name, where Gonzalo de Carvajal and his wife, doña María de Peralta, resided. Gonzalo was a descendant of the famous Carvajal brothers who were thrown from the Peña de Martos by order of Fernando IV. It is a simple construction, which is also reflected on the austere facade, as the few openings are distributed in a purely functional manner.
